The world Oceans Day which usually comes few days after the World Environmental Day (June 5th) and coordinated by The Ocean Project focused more on Plastics this year – single-use plastic waste problem contaminating ocean waters. .
This is what Ololade has to say,
“#savetheocean :
In the next few year I will want free pollution in Nigeria, and some other part of the African countries.
Plastic ocean has become one of the greatest pollution to the oceans which not only change the temperature of the oceans but as killed many advantages we are meant to be deriving from it like; Health advantage, source of inspiration, recreation, rejuvenation and discovery.
It is also an important element in the heritage of many cultures.
That why I will urge everyone of us that if it raining don’t trash your dirt in the water because in one way or other they end up in the oceans.
Ensure proper disposal of plastic and can, So it can be recycle and produce other things. This will lead to my saying of “BE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOURSELF”.
Be responsible for yourself, take caution of not disposing used plastic anyhow or anywhere.
Everyone is responsible for caring for the ocean. The ocean sustains life on Earth and humans must live in a ways that will sustain the ocean too. Individual and collective actions are needed to effectively manage and maintain ocean resources for all.
Start a change now, spread the news, correct bad ones around you who still care less, make the job easier for those cleaning and taking care of the oceans. Doing all that you’re saving a life (which might even be one of your family or relative)
